Rupee weakens against dollar


The exchange rate of Pakistan rupee weakened by 57 paisas against the US dollar in the interbank trading on Friday and closed at Rs175.23 as compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs174.66.

According to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollars in the open market were recorded at Rs 175.5 and Rs 177 respectively.

Similarly, the price of the euro was appreciated by 47 paisas and closed at Rs 198.35 against the last day’s trading of Rs 197.92, the State Bank of Pakistan reported. .—APP
