Rupee strengthens against dollar



The exchange rate of Pakistani rupee strengthened by 15 paisas against US dollar in the interbank trading on Wednesday and closed at Rs162.13 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 162.28.
Meanwhile, according to Forex Association of Pakistan, the buying and selling rates of dollar in open market were recorded at Rs 162 and Rs 162.8 respectively.
In interbank trading, the price of euro appreciated by Rs 1.04 and closed at Rs192.27 against the last day’s trading of Rs 191.23, State Bank of Pakistan reported.The Japanese Yen gained one paisas to close at Rs 1.54, whereas an increase of Rs 1.43 was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound which was traded at Rs 211.57 as compared to its last closing of Rs 210.14.—APP
