Romanian couple mugged in Rawalpindi

A Romanian couple, on a world tour, was robbed of its valuables in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.

According to reports, the tourists were deprived of some important documents and goods, including a laptop, cameras, mobile phones and passports, the moment they reached north Punjab city.

A spokesman for police told media that New Town Police would probe the incident following the registration of an FIR.

He further said senior police officers were also looking at the incident from various angles.
The spokesman informed that technical and forensic evidence had been collected from the crime scene.

He expressed the hope that police would soon arrest the thieves.
