Warning against engaging the revenge politics the Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Wednesday said PML-N Supremo Nawaz Sharif’s revenge and hatred politics would leave the country nowhere saying “Instead of going for settling personal scores we should now move forward for the betterment of the country.

Giving a sign of a mature politician , the PPP Chairman and scion of the slain party chief Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, also disapproved the celebrations over former premier Imran Khan’s jail sentence in cipher and Toshakhana cases. He however, said the PTI leader was reaping what he sowed as he too promoted revenge politics against his opponents.

“Nawaz Sharif has always been resorting to revenge politics as he also fabricated cases against Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. I am warning that potential continuation of such practices will leave the country nowhere; you must consider the consequences of electing leaders who prioritize personal vendettas,” Bilawal said while addressing a public rally in Malakand Wednesday afternoon.

The PPP chairman expressed disappointment over what he called Imran Khan’s shift from being a beacon of hope for the youth to engaging in what he termed “U-turn politics.” He also took a swipe at Khan’s actions what he said the incarceration of political opponents and their family members.

Bilawal drew attention to the irony of political opponents celebrating the absence of a former prime minister from electoral contests. He warned against engaging in revenge politics, citing concerns that those doing so may face the same themselves tomorrow.

Accusing the PML-N and PTI of doing politics of ‘hate’ in the past, the PPP leader said his party was not allowed to run a political campaign ahead of the 2018 elections. “We must leave behind the personal vendetta and should move forward now for the betterment of the country”. He said.
