KARACHI – The Border Health Services has reportedly extended the deadline for implementing the NADRA-integrated vaccination card requirement for pilgrims and other travellers.
The vaccination card requirement, which was set to implement today (September 14), will now come into from September 25, 2026.
The authority is expected to issue the notification in this regard shortly.
The development comes after hundreds of passengers and Umrah pilgrims gathered at airport health offices to obtain NADRA-integrated vaccination cards ahead of the earlier deadline.
The extension is expected to provide relief to passengers and pilgrims travelling abroad. Authorities had previously announced that, from September 14, travelers would not be permitted to travel without vaccination proof linked to NADRA.
The Airport Health Department of Border Health Services Pakistan had announced on September 12 that people departing Pakistan for Umrah would be required to carry NADRA-integrated digital vaccination proof for international travel.
According to a notification issued by the Airport Health Department on September 7, the requirement applies to vaccination against polio, meningitis, yellow fever and influenza.
The revised deadline gives travelers additional time to obtain the required vaccination documentation.
