The University of Okara in a bid to raise Covid-19 vaccination awareness among the local community, on Wednesday organized a rally on the Muhammad Ali Jinnah Road, Okara. Led by the Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Muhammad Zakria Zakar, the rally was attended by a la
rge number of faculty members and students. The participants of the rally were wearing shirts and caps and holding banners with motivational messages.
The rally started from the Tank Square Okara and continued for 4 kilometers. While talking to the media at the eve, the VC told, “It is the responsibility of the academia to sensitize the general public on getting the vaccine shots.
With this aim in mind, we are rallying to motivate the local community to get themselves immunized so that the country can be saved from the deadly pandemic”.—INP
