A rally was organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir in Muzaffarabad to renew and ratify the resolution of accession to Pakistan passed on 19 July 1947 in Srinagar.

A large number of people including children participated in the rally and raised slogans in favour of Pakistan and freedom of Kashmir.

They marched on the main highway from Gharipan Chowk to Burhan Wani Shaheed Chowk.

While addressing the protest demonstration, speakers said that even after seventy-four years, the people of Jammu and Kashmir are adhered to the content of resolution of July 19, 1947.

“The historic resolution was a practical expression of the ideological and intellectual commitment of Kashmiri Muslims to Pakistan”, they reiterated.

The resolution, they added, was the expression of wishes and aspirations of the dominant Muslim majority of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Burial of thousands of Kashmiri youth in Pakistani flags is actually a sign of commitment to the country, Pakistan, created in the name of Islam and exists as a love and ideology among the people of Jammu and Kashmir occupied by India,” the speakers maintained.

Among those who attended the rally included Uzair Ahmad Ghazali, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Abdul Aziz Alvi, Usman Ali Hashim, Bilal Ahmad Farooqui, Muhammad Iqbal Awan, Ali Muhammad Butt, Chaudhry Muhammad Ismail, Raja Zakheer Khan, Muhammad Ismail Khan, Aslam Awan, Dr.

Muhammad Manzoor, Chaudhry Muhammad Riaz, Raja Zaheer Khan, Riaz Ahmed Awan and Faizan Riasat.
