Met office forecast rainfall-thundershower at isolated places in upper Khaber Pakhunkhwa (KP) and Punjab on morning and evening hours making a suitable environment to pull out voters for stamping ballot paper on the historical day of General Elections 2018.
Rainfall is likely in Peshawar, Mardan, Hazara, Gujrawala, Rawalpindi, Sargodha Divisions, Muree, Kohala and adjoining hilly areas on Wednesday when 11,855 candidates from 107 political parties besides independent candidates would check their fate for grabbing a slot in National and Provincial Assemblies of the country for next five years.
Spokesman Met office, Dr. Khalid M. Malik said, according to weather conditions, rain is expected to start on Tuesday night which may continue till Wednesday morning but at day time mercury level would increase turning the day into hot and humid in these area.
While hot and humid weather to continue in other parts of the country, he told APP.
However, clouds are expected to start covering sky in evening at Gujrawala, Rawalpindi, Hazara Malakand division and Gilgit-Baltistan where moderate intensity rain is likely till night. The KP Met Office on Tuesday forecast mainly cloudy weather for most parts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However thunderstorm-rain associated with gusty winds is expected at scattered places in Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra, Battagram.—APP
