Quality healthcare

The Punjab government is spending a huge budget of Rs 260 billion to provide most modern quality healthcare facilities to the people on a priority basis. This huge allocation for health sector by CM Shehbaz Sharif reflects his pro-people policies. This is quite appreciable as healthy people make healthy nation which should be working hard day and night for progress, development and prosperity of the country.
Provincial Primary and Secondary Health Minister Khwaja Imran Nazir has reiterated that the government is committed to providing modern healthcare facilities to the people through provision of maximum resources. The Minister said this while visiting District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Kasur and announcing its revamping will be completed very soon after which latest health facilities will be available to the people at the local level.
The Minister after inspecting the newly-installed CT scan machine in the hospital also said that the provincial government is spending huge funds for ensuring provision of modern healthcare facilities to the people, emergencies of all the hospitals are being improved for providing better and quick services to the patients and free medicines have also been ensured in the public sector hospitals throughout the province particularly those with lesser resources. Such regular high-level review meetings of working of different sectors particularly important health sector are quite commendable as these keep all officials concerned on their toes almost round the clock.
