Punjab Minister assures Sialkot would be soon declared as model city

The Punjab Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering Mian Mehmood al Rasheed has said that the former rulers had been busy in denying Sialkot its due status, for the last 40 years due to which the infra structure of that city was on the verge of destruction. While addressing a function under the auspices of Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Sialkot on Friday night the Punjab Minster further added that he would raise the case of Sialkot with Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar in order to help Sialkot get its due status among the top cities of the province.
The provincial minister Mian Mehmood al Rasheed said that foundation stone for the ‘Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme’ would soon be laid in Sialkot and during that same ceremony Sialkot would also be declared as ‘the model city’. He said also that 10000 houses, with area of 3 to 5 ‘marla’, would be constructed for citizen from the lower class of the society. He said that provision of hospitals, parks, schools and all other modern facilities would be ensured in ‘Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme’. The Punjab Minister Mian Memood al Rasheed strongly criticized Maulana Fazal ur Reham, the chief of JUI-F, for announcing to launch ‘azadi march’ on 27th October.
