Punjab govt decides to deploy Rangers at Governor House

In the wake of prevailing circumstances, Punjab government has decided to deploy Ranger at Governor House.

The decision was taken after the recent protests being held in Lahore and demonstration held outside Governor House a couple of days earlier.

In this connection, a notification was issued by Additional Chief Secretary Punjab which stated that during protest demonstration of November 04, fire was ignited outside Governor House which was not acceptable.

As per notification, the security of Governor House has been handed over to Rangers till next orders.

Entry of irrelevant persons in Governor House has been banned and only relevant persons who would be allowed could enter there.
