Punjab bans use of PCP Airgun

The Punjab government Tuesday imposed a complete ban on the usage of PCP Airguns in the province.

There would be a complete ban on the PCP Airguns that are being used in hunting and the provincial government would bring an amendment in the law to carry strict action against the violators.

According to the Wildlife Department officials, the Punjab government has given the approval to ban different kinds of guns being used for hunting through law amendment.

PCP Airgun, PCO2 and Silence guns would also be banned for hunting. According to the officials, the government has taken this step for the safety of wildlife.

They said there was an increase in the usage of PCP Airgun in Punjab and on the recommendations of the federal government, the Punjab government has banned these guns.
