LAHORE – The Directorate of Drug Control Authority Punjab has issued an immediate order to halt the sale of eight types of medicines from various batches across the province.
The authority has also instructed the removal of these medicines from the market.
The alert issued by the authority stated that these medicines do not meet quality standards. Some of the medicines failed potency tests, while others were found to be substandard, adulterated, or improperly labeled in violation of regulations. The alert provides detailed information about the affected batches.
“If any of the Retailers / Wholesaler / Distributor is having the concerned products, you are required to immediately stop the dispensation and update to respective area drug inspectors regarding their current inventory and consumption record,” the authority said in a statement on Facebook.
Furthermore, the authority has warned the public to cease using these medicines immediately, as they could pose serious health risks.
