Psx Reaches Historic High As 100 Index Surges To 153 771

KARACHI – The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) continued its historic upward momentum on Thursday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index touching a new all-time high.

The market opened with a surge of 454 points, taking the KSE-100 Index to 186,973 points. Subsequent gains of 605 points pushed the index further to 187,124 points. Although the market saw a brief dip, renewed investor confidence drove the index up by 856 points, closing at a record 187,374 points.

The bullish trend has been consistent since the start of the current trading week as the PSX surpassed multiple psychological levels and setting new historic highs.

The analysts attributed the surge to increased investor confidence and strong participation in equities, pointing out that mutual fund investments have reached their highest level in a decade.

The market experts said the continued optimism reflected both domestic and global factors supporting Pakistan’s capital market which signaled a robust outlook for the remainder of the trading session.
