Stresses it’s responsibility of everyone to make “Reach Every Door” drive a success

 

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday emphasised that the situation prevailed in the country warrants unity and the spirit of brotherhood, saying it is incumbent upon everyone to help take the country forward with the power of unity.

“Regrettably, the opposition always indulged in the politics of chaos as it is only interested in the protection of self-interest.”

Usman Buzdar maintained that the opposition parties should realize that national interest is supreme, adding that unfortunately these people are engaged in negative politics to stop the development process.

“Personal interest is worthless before national interest”, he stressed and added that the Punjab government has always taken a lead in the development of the backward areas.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar was briefed on the province-wise campaign launched from Monday to vaccinate around one million people on a daily basis. The drive would continue till November 12.

The CM was briefed about the ‘Reach Every Door’ campaign at a meeting which was attended by Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, secretary primary & secondary health, DGPR and others.

The meeting was told that 18 thousand field teams would go to every nook and corner of the province to provide a free vaccination facility.

The government has also set up 14 thousand new vaccination centres in different districts to facilitate the people at their doorstep.

On the occasion, the CM said that parliamentarians and social workers have been entrusted with the task to make this drive a success.

“I appeal to the public to get themselves vaccinated as it is the only remedy,” he stressed and added that Punjab has suffered a colossal loss of Rs650 billion while more than 13 thousand people have died due to the corona pandemic.

He asserted that vaccination and observance of SOPs are imperative to avoid further losses.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar greeted Pakistani cricket team for winning T20 match against India.

The Chief Minister said that Babar Azam by playing captain’s innings has played a pivotal role in the victory. Usman Buzdar said that India will never forget this defeat.

Pakistani players by defeating India in T20 match has up hold the national flag. This victory is a success of Pakistan.

The whole nation is happy over this overwhelming victory. Usman Buzdar said that players of national cricket team have exhibited outstanding performance and won the hearts of people with their team work.

He said that Shaheen Afreedi’s bowling played an important role in the victory whereas outstanding batting of Babar Azam and Rizwan outclass the archrival.

He said that players exhibited outstanding performance in fielding, batting and bowling. He expressed hope that national team will play with the same spirit in next matches.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar held meetings with parliamentarians, public representatives and other dignitaries.

During the meetings, political situations and development projects came under discussion.

Chief Minister also visited the vaccination outreach centre at People’s Colony Khanewal and inaugurated “Reach Every Door” vaccination campaign.

Talking on this occasion, the Chief Minister said free corona vaccination would be provided to the people of Punjab at their doorstep till 12 November and special teams would visit every house on daily basis to vaccinate citizens free of cost.

People have already suffered due to corona and further loss could not endure so people should extend cooperation with the vaccination teams and collective efforts be made with the help of district administration and district authorities to make the campaign successful.
