Police stations constructed of Rs187m inaugurated

Regional Police Officer (RPO) Multan Sohail Ahmed Chaudhry on Tuesday inaugurated the buildings of two new model police stations constructed at the cost of 187 million rupees in Burewala, district Vehari. The inauguration ceremony of the model police stations was also attended by DPO Vehari Essa Khan Sukhera and DSP Muhammad Umar Farooq among others.

RPO Multan also planted a sapling in the premises of new building. Speaking on the occasion, DPO Essa Khan Sukhera said that the new four stories building has been completed with the cost 125 million rupees, He said that completion of the new police stations was the need of the hour to ensure justice to the people under the people-friendly policy of Punjab government and police department. He said that new modern architecture police stations are equipped with all the facilities. DPO Vehari said that 200 stolen motorcycles were recovered from across the district.

Addressing the ceremony, RPO Multan Sohail Chaudhry said that along with the change of building in the police stations, there will be a change in police station culture, our first priority as completion of the long delayed new buildings. The new buildings of the police stations are a gift from the public’s taxes. He commended the efforts of DPO Vehari and his team in crime fighting. To prevent crime, one has to work within the law.

People should guide the police to eliminate crimes; we are performing our duties with full good faith, the traditional police culture is sure to be eliminated from the police station.—INP
