Police committed to counter outlaws especially drug paddlers: Mirwais

Deputy Inspector General of Police Hazara Region Mirwais Niaz has said that police is duty bound to take legal action against the outlaws specially the drug paddlers, but it is also the moral duty of every member of the society to play their role to combat illegal & unlawful activities by cooperating with police so that crime can be eradicated from this society.

While addressing one day seminar on Drug Awareness organized at Comsats University Abbottabad Campus on Thursday, DIG Police Hazara said that the purpose of this awareness seminar was to prevent the use of drugs in the society which has been spreading rapidly in all segments of society especially in the students.

He further said that On the special instructions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan and Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Moazzam Jahan Ansari, special teams have been formed for drug prevention in the entire province. District Police Officer Zahoor Babar Afridi, Director Comsats University Prof. Dr. Imtiaz Ali Khan, Lt. Gen. (Retd) Ayaz Saleem Rana, SP Investigation Abbottabad Ishtiaq Ahmad Khan and others attended the seminar beside large number of university administration; teachers and students attended the seminar. He said that we have to Realize the severity of this crime which not only extremely dangerous & unhealthy but will have long lasting affects on our future generation.
