LONDON – Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in London on a two-day visit to the United Kingdom in another key phase in Pakistan’s high-level international engagement.

Prime Minister Sharif departed Islamabad this morning aboard a special aircraft, with the delegation making a two-hour stopover in Istanbul for refuelling. After completing his London visit, PM Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to travel to the United States, where he will address the United Nations General Assembly in New York on September 25.
His UN visit will provide an important platform for Pakistan to present its perspective on major regional and global challenges, while highlighting the country’s priorities on peace, diplomacy, counter-terrorism, development, climate change and international cooperation. Pakistan has also said the Prime Minister will hold high-level bilateral meetings with world leaders and the UN leadership.
Islamabad continues to strengthen international partnerships, promote dialogue and expand cooperation for peace, security and mutual development.
