Pink Ribbon launches awareness drive


The Pink Ribbon Pakistan has launched 4-week“PINKtober National Awareness Drive” during the month of October, since; this month is known as breast cancer awareness month, which engages everyone from grass root level to the policymakers.

While highlighting the importance of the campaign; the spokesman said that studies suggest that, breast cancer can be treated and cured if diagnosed in the early stage, and its survival rate is more than 90%.

Omer Aftab, CEO of the Pink Ribbon has said that this year, a 4-week plan has been chalked out to highlight the most important aspect of the campaign.

In order to sensitize the masses about the severity of breast cancer, the first week has been declared a National Illumination week.
