PESHAWAR – Light rain is expected in the upper districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday night and Monday with occasional gaps.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A shallow westerly wave will likely affect the upper parts of the country tonight.
Under these conditions, dry weather is expected in Peshawar and most districts of the province and cold in hilly areas on Sunday night and Monday. However, partly cloudy with light rain may occur in Chitral, Dir, Swat and Kohistan on Sunday night.
On Monday, partly cloudy with light rain and light snowfall over high mountains is expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Kurram and Mansehra.
Peshawar’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 30°C and 32°C on Monday and Tuesday.
Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed in Peshawar and most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours. Cold weather prevailed in hilly areas.
Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. The maximum temperature in Bannu was recorded at 31°C.
In Peshawar, the maximum temperature was recorded at 29°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 68 per cent.
