KARACHI – Gold prices in Pakistan recorded sharp increase at the start of the week, as price of 24-karat gold surged by Rs4,643 per tola, taking the local market rate to Rs442,636.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold climbed by Rs4,179, reaching Rs378,345 compared to the previous rate of Rs374,166.

The latest rally comes after a relatively stable trading session on Saturday, when the price of gold slipped by only Rs43 per tola before settling at Rs437,993.
Global gold rates rose by $46 per ounce, pushing prices to $4,202 per ounce, including a premium of $20. The rise in international bullion prices typically influences domestic rates, leading to higher gold prices in Pakistan.
Silver also followed the bullish trend. The price of silver increased by Rs189 per tola, taking the domestic rate to Rs7,151 from the previous level of Rs6,962.
