Pcb Shares Update On Opener Imam Ul Haqs Calf Injury

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday provided an update on opener Imam-ul-Haq’s calf injury and his chances of featuring in the remainder of the second Test against England at Lord’s.

Imam suffered a low-grade strain to his left calf while fielding on the opening day of the Test. Scans later confirmed the injury, and the batter is currently receiving treatment under the supervision of Pakistan’s medical team.

The injury ruled Imam out of opening the innings alongside Azan Awais. Shan Masood instead partnered Awais at the top of the order but failed to make a significant contribution.

Imam’s participation in the rest of the Test will be determined by his recovery and response to treatment.
