LONDON – Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Muhsin Naqvi on Tuesday revealed that the Pakistan Super League (PSL) would soon be coming to Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The decision to host PSL matches at the Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium was made during a special PSL roadshow at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.

This announcement is seen as an important step in the expansion of cricket across Pakistan as well as an important development for Azad Jammu and Kashmir, providing local fans the opportunity to experience top-tier cricket and boosting tourism in the region.

Chairman Naqvi assured fans and players that the Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium will undergo significant upgrades to meet international standards, providing a world-class venue for the matches. He further stated that the region would be equipped with five-star hotels that meet the needs of international cricketers.

“This is a proud moment for us as we bring top-level cricket to the beautiful region of Azad Jammu and Kashmir,” Naqvi said. “The Muzaffarabad Cricket Stadium will be prepared in the best possible manner, and the players will have access to state-of-the-art facilities, including luxury accommodations.”

In addition to the PSL matches, Naqvi confirmed that other international cricket matches will also be organized in the region in the future, helping to elevate the profile of Azad Jammu and Kashmir as a key cricketing destination.
