Pakistan T20 Squads For T20is Odi Series Against Sri Lanka

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Cricket Board announced separate squads for the upcoming T20I series against Sri Lanka and the ODI tri-series involving England and Sri Lanka.

The three-match T20I campaign will see Sahibzada Farhan take charge of the national side. The right-handed opener, who recently captained Pakistan at the Asian Games, has been appointed skipper for the series against Sri Lanka.

Pakistan’s ODI leadership will remain with Shaheen Shah Afridi, who will captain the side during the three-nation competition against England and Sri Lanka.

The T20I action will begin on October 9 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, with the remaining two matches scheduled for October 11 and 13. All three games will be played at the same venue.

Once the T20I series concludes, attention will shift to the ODI tri-series. Rawalpindi will host the opening three fixtures before the tournament moves to Lahore, where the remaining league matches and the final will be contested.

Farhan to lead Pakistan’s T20I squad

The T20I squad includes a mix of established players and emerging talent, with Farhan at the helm.

Shaheen retains ODI captaincy

Shaheen Shah Afridi will continue to lead Pakistan in the 50-over format as the national team takes on England and Sri Lanka in the ODI tri-series.

The squad features several prominent names, including Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Salman Ali Agha, Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah and Shadab Khan.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka will contest three T20Is at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

  • October 13: Pakistan vs Sri Lanka — Rawalpindi

A separate three-day match is scheduled to take place in Islamabad from November 4 to 6.

The ODI competition will begin in Rawalpindi before moving to Lahore for its second phase.
