LAHORE – The Pakistan Railways has decided to run summer vacation special train between Rawalpindi and Karachi from July 05 to July 30.
Summer vacation special train (50DN) will depart from Rawalpindi at 12:30 pm on July 05, 08, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26 and 29 and reach Karachi Cantt at 02:15 pm on the following days. Similarly, summer vacation special train (49UP) will depart from Karachi Cantt at 08:45 pm on July 06, 09, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27 and 30, and reach Rawalpindi at 10 pm on the following days.
The train comprises two each AC business and AC standard coaches, five economy class coaches, and one each powerplant and brake van. six additional economy class coaches will be attached to the special train from Lahore. During the journey, the train will have stopovers at Jhelum, Lalamusa, Gujrat, Wazirabad, Gujranwala, Lahore, Raiwind, Okara, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Bahawalpur, Khanpur, Rohri and Hyderabad.
As per the Pakistan Railways officials, summer vacation special train has been run to facilitate general public during holidays.
