LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on Friday partially/fully demolished five illegal buildings in Lahore.
The LDA teams razed several shops illegally constructed on two plots in Gujjarpura. Illegal extension of a commercial building was partially demolished in Shadbagh. In Shadman, two buildings were demolished for violation of bylaws.
LDA Director Town Planning-I Ayesha Mutahir supervised the operation which was carried out by enforcement teams with the help of heavy machinery and Police. As per the LDA officials, several notices were served to these buildings’ owners before carrying out the operation.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against violation of building and parking bylaws, encroachments and illegal commercial use in Lahore.
