Outgoing Dutch ambassador pays farewell call on Army Chief

The outgoing Ambassador of the Netherlands Wouter Plomp, paid a farewell call to General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) on Monday and described his stay in Pakistan quite productive and memorable.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interests, regional security situation and bilateral cooperation in various fields were discussed.

The COAS said that Pakistan valued its relations with the Netherlands and earnestly look forward to enhancing mutually beneficial multi-domain relations based on common interests.

He also thanked Ambassador for his services and appreciated his contributions for fostering strong ties between the two countries.

The ambassador thanked the government of Pakistan for and the business community for extending cooperation to the Netherlands government in various fields and appreciated Pakistan’s role for regional stability.

He ensured to play his role for further improvement in diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.
