QUETTA – Security forces have killed five terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in the Killi Soran area of Panjgur, Balochistan, as part of ongoing operations under Operation Raddul Fitna 3, according to security sources.
Several other terrorists were also injured during the operation. The militants were reportedly preparing to carry out a major terrorist attack when security forces launched the action.
Advanced technology and weapons were used to successfully target the militants. A significant quantity of modern weapons and ammunition was also recovered from the killed terrorists.
The security sources further said the militants were allegedly involved in planning activities including extortion, kidnapping for ransom, targeted killings and suicide attacks.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for what he described as a successful operation against terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan.
Naqvi said the security forces had acted in a timely manner and foiled the terrorists’ plans. He added that the nation remained united against terrorism and stood with the security forces.
