The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is closely following the accounts on the current developments in Myanmar.
In this regard, the OIC General Secretariat reiterates its firm position in support of the Muslim Rohingya people and its call to ensuring their safety and security and recognizing their basic rights, including the right to full citizenship and the creation of conditions conducive to the voluntary, safe, dignified and sustainable return of all Rohingya refugees and IDPs.
It also calls on the international community to further support the various efforts aimed at achieving justice and accountability for the Rohingya and for the immediate cessation of all forms of violence against them.
