Newly crafted PSL8 trophy all set to be unveiled on Feb 9


LAHORE – All eyes are on a new glittering trophy for the upcoming eighth of the Pakistan Super League as love for cricket has infected fans ahead of the much-touted curtain-raiser.

The trophy for the PSL8 will be unveiled in Shalimar Bagh, Lahore where skippers of all teams and PCB chief Najam Sethi among other board officials will gather to grace the event of the country’s largest cricket league.

PSL 8 is set to start on February 13 but it becomes the talk of the town days before it was even launched as excitement brewing in the cricket-loving nation.

Before the curtain raise event, preparations for the upcoming events are in full swing.

It was learnt that media personnel accredited with Pakistan Cricket Board will only be allowed to enter the venue. The cricket board will share the content through its channels.

The trophy unveiling ceremony will be held days before fans will see the first action between Multan Sultan and Lahore Qalandars. With 11 games, Rawalpindi Stadium will host a maximum number of matches during this season that will continue for more than a month.
