LAHORE – Pakistan Railways officially announced surge in fares for both passenger and freight train services. According to a spokesperson from the department, fares for all passenger train classes will be raised by 3percent effective June 20, 2025.

A notification regarding the fare hike has been issued by the Railway officials, as revised fares will apply to both advance reservations and current bookings.
Train Ticket Price
In addition to passenger fares, the freight sector will also witness a price increase. Starting June 23, 2025, freight train charges will rise by 4%, while a 10% hike has been specifically implemented for services at the Azakhel Dry Port. The fare adjustment is part of the Railways’ broader effort to manage rising operational costs and improve service infrastructure.
