TEHRAN – Iranian planes have arrived in Oman’s capital Muscat amid official denials of talks as Tehran rejects negotiation claims despite reports of backdoor talks in international media.

Despite official denials from Tehran, evidence emerged suggesting an Iranian negotiation team has arrived in Muscat, Oman, sparking speculation over potential backchannel diplomacy.

Amid the buzz, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi publicly denied that any delegation was dispatched to Oman for negotiations. Echoing this stance, a senior Foreign Ministry official told Arab publication that Iran has neither initiated a new round of talks nor requested a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Reports said three flights JJ25, JJ26, and JJ28 were en route to Muscat International Airport. Flight JJ25 has already touched down, with the remaining two expected shortly. The aircraft involved include two Airbus A321s and one Airbus A340.

Israeli Foreign Ministry responded swiftly to the news, issuing a statement asserting: “There are no negotiations with the Iranian regime, and our operation will continue until our goals are achieved.”

The developments have fueled speculation about undisclosed diplomatic efforts, although no country has officially acknowledged any ongoing dialogue. Analysts suggest Oman, known for its history of discreet mediation, could once again be playing host to backchannel discussions amid heightened regional tensions.
