Chairperson of National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW), NilofarBakhtiar has stressed the need of transforming education system to combat the social issues including prevention and mitigation of emerging issues of Gender-Based Violence.
She stated this on Friday while addressing a ceremony organized by Elementary and Secondary Education Department, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Islamabad.
The event was organized relating the issues of Gender-Based Violence and gender disparity in education.
The title of the project was ‘Gender Mainstreaming & GBV for human capital investment project (KP-HCIP)’ with the aim of mitigating GBV and violence against children in 1000 schools in 13 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
