Administrator Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab along with Deputy Commissioner Administrator District Central Taha Saleem inaugurated 4 more parks for the public (Hassan Masnavi Alvi Park North Karachi, Khawaja Gharib Nawaz Park, 11-E North Karachi, Umm Kulthum Park Buffer Zone, Parda Park Liaqatabad) ) under the project of 100 renovated parks in different areas of Central District and completed first Silver Jubilee of 100 Parks Project.
On the occasion of inauguration after renovation of 25th Park, Administrator Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab along with DC Central Taha Saleem and members of his team including Municipal Commissioner Central Zahid Hussain, Assistant Commissioner Liaquat Sana Tariq, Assistant Commissioner New Karachi Capt (R) Ata-ur-Rehman, Assistant Commissioner North Nazimabad Tahir Ali Cheema, Assistant Commissioner Nazimabad Ms. Zainab Ahmed, Assistant Commissioner Gulberg Dadan Khan Lashari, Director Gardens Central Municipality while paying tribute said that the speed with which services are being rendered in Central District for the welfare of the people is an example for other districts of Karachi.
On this occasion Taha Saleem said that both administration and local bodies are public service institutions. We need to fulfill our responsibility honestly and meet the expectations of the people.
Referring to the 100 Parks project, he said that the parks in Central District which were set up to provide entertainment to the people had fallen into disrepair due to lack of proper maintenance for many years which are being renovated and renovated to provide an atmosphere of entertainment near the homes of the people.
It should be noted that the 100 Parks project is being carried out under public-private partnership in which committees consisting of representatives of the people, KMC, DMC and representatives of district administration have been formed. However, very little budget was used to make these parks reusable.
