RIYADH – Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi landed in Saudi Arabia and held landmark meeting with Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud in the capital, Riyadh.
The high-level talks focused on enhancing security cooperation, with a special emphasis on combating drug smuggling. The discussions shows commitment of Islamabad and Riyadh to strengthen mutual cooperation within strategic framework of their long-standing relationship and achieve shared security objectives.
The meeting brought together top-level officials, including Saudi Deputy Interior Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayaf, Assistant Interior Minister Dr. Hesham bin Abdulrahman Al-Faleh, and Advisor to the Minister of Interior Lieutenant General Suleiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Yahya.
Pakistan was represented by Ambassador Ahmed Farooq, Interior Ministry officials, and Anti-Narcotics Undersecretary Muhammad Khurram Agha. Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Maliki also joined the discussions.
Naqvis’s visit is critical step in deepening strategic cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, particularly in tackling cross-border security challenges and drug trafficking.
