Medical camp held at PMCH

Every year on the second Monday of February, World Epilepsy Day is celebrated all over the world. In this regard, a one-day medical camp was organized at PMC Hospital Nawabshah, where tests of patients, medicines were provided free of cost, to patients and Caretakers of the patients were also given awareness about epilepsy.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, Dr. Awais Bashir Larik, Assistant Professor, Department of Neurology, and Dr. Moti Ram Bhatia, Head of Psychiatrist, said that the two objectives of this camp are to provide free tests for one patient and free medicine to the patient and their caretakers.

The reason is that some people think that it is sorcery which is completely wrong, epilepsy is a mental illness that is a treatable disease and sometimes people separate the epilepsy patient so that the disease does not spread to anyone else. “Epilepsy is a disease like any other disease.
