Maryam flays Imran for ‘hiding under bed’ to evade arrest

Says only thieves, dacoits are afraid of arrest

Pakistan Muslim League-N senior vice president Maryam Nawaz said on Tuesday that her party had geared up to win elections.”

Addressing the organisational convention of PML-N in Sheikhupura on Tuesday, she lavished praise on the PML-N supporters, saying, “The passion of the workers is forcing me to contest elections from Sheikhupura.

Maryam Nawaz came down hard on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, for evading arrest and “hiding under his bed”. Maryam said that “thieves and dacoits are afraid of arrest, but leaders are not”.

Reminding the deposed premier about “making a case against the interior minister”, Maryam said Khan had made a bogus case against Rana Sanaullah. “Today, Rana Sanaullah has been appointed as the interior minister, while Imran is hiding in his home,” she added,

She went on to compare Nawaz Sharif, her father and former prime minister, with Imran Khan. Maryam said that Nawaz Sharif did not hide when times were tough and even came to court for his own arrest, while Imran Khan is hiding under his bed.

She advised Imran to show some courage and present himself before the judiciary by courting his arrest.
