Mahnoor Safdar’s Wedding Pictures, Videos go viral

LAHORE – Nikah of Mahnoor Safdar, daughter of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, and Azaan Jabbar took place at Jati Umra on Saturday, but it was the bride’s striking appearance that quickly became the centre of attention as pictures and videos from the family occasion began circulating online.

Dressed in an intricately embellished silver-grey and champagne ensemble, Mahnoor appeared in a bridal look that combined traditional craftsmanship with understated glamour.

The muted colour palette allowed the detailing of the outfit to stand out. The fabric was covered with an elaborate geometric pattern created through layers of metallic embroidery, mirror work and sequins, giving the outfit a distinctive textured finish.

But it was Mahnoor’s jewellery that arguably grabbed the most attention. At the centre of her bridal look was a statement diamond necklace featuring a large cushion-cut yellow gemstone surrounded by a halo of white diamonds. Matching earrings carried the same yellow-and-diamond combination. The exact identity of the central gemstone could not be confirmed from the available images.

She wore her hair in a sleek half-up style, with a precise middle parting at the front. The rest of her hair was left loose, cascading down her back, while the polished crown provided a neat base for the heavily embellished dupatta.

Despite the visual attention surrounding the bride, the wedding itself remained a closely guarded family affair.

The nikah was scheduled for 5pm at Jati Umra, with the family opting for a small gathering rather than a large public celebration. Reports said invitations were limited to members of the Sharif family, close relatives and immediate family friends.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended the ceremony, while Nawaz Sharif was also present alongside other members of the family.

Mahnoor’s father, Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar, as well as Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz, were among those reported to have attended. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Senior Provincial Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb also joined the gathering.

Who is Azaan Jabbar?

Mahnoor’s husband, Azaan Jabbar, comes from a prominent business family, according to family sources.

His father, Jabbar Khalid, is described as an established industrialist, with the family associated with the large-scale flour-milling and trading business.

The nikah comes soon after Mahnoor returned to Pakistan following the completion of her higher education at SOAS University of London.

Mahnoor’s wedding follows another major family milestone in London, where she recently completed her studies and attended her graduation.

Maryam Nawaz had travelled to London privately to take part in her daughter’s graduation celebrations. During the occasion, she expressed her happiness over the achievement and said that, by the grace of Allah, all three of her children had completed their higher education.

After Maryam Nawaz and Mahnoor returned to Pakistan, family consultations were held and the date for the nikah was subsequently finalized.

For a ceremony deliberately kept away from the public eye, the first glimpse of Mahnoor’s bridal look has nevertheless generated considerable attention online—with her heavily worked silver-and-champagne ensemble, statement yellow gemstone jewellery and polished bridal styling emerging as the visual highlights of the occasion.
