VEHARI – The district administration of Vehari has announced a public holiday on July 11 in connection with the annual Urs of Baba Diwan Haji Sher.
According to Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javed, the three-day Urs celebrations will begin on July 9, while the district will observe a holiday on July 11.
An official notification stated that examinations conducted by educational boards and universities will continue as scheduled and will not be affected by the holiday.
The administration also clarified that essential departments, including medical, security and administrative institutions, will remain operational and continue performing their duties during the holiday.
