Woman commits suicide in Lahore’s China Scheme area

LAHORE – A 30-year-old woman on Wednesday committed suicide in Lahore’s China Scheme area on Wednesday, according to Rescue 1122 officials.

Rescue 1122 said it received an emergency call reporting that a woman had taken her own life at a residence near Liaquat Chowk in China Scheme.

According to the caller, the woman died by suicide after hanging herself from a ceiling fan inside her home.

The emergency responders arrived at the scene and confirmed the woman’s death. The deceased was identified as Sana, wife of Naeem, aged 30.

Following the completion of initial procedures, Rescue 1122 handed over the body to the police for further legal formalities and investigation.

The police have launched an inquiry to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The body is expected to be shifted for medico-legal procedures as part of the investigation.

Woman Killed, Three Injured in Clash Between Two Groups in Lahore

A 60-year-old woman was killed and three others were injured after a violent clash broke out between two groups in Lahore’s Haji Kot area on Kala Khatai Road on Wednesday, according to Rescue 1122 officials.

Rescue 1122 said it received an emergency call reporting a fight between two groups in the locality. Emergency response teams were immediately dispatched to the scene to provide medical assistance and transport the victims.

According to rescue officials, the altercation left four people injured, including a woman who later succumbed to her injuries. The deceased was identified as Kulsoom, wife of Zulfiqar, aged 60.

Rescue personnel provided first aid to all the victims at the scene before shifting them to THQ Hospital Ferozewala for further medical treatment. Kulsoom, however, was pronounced dead following the incident.

The identities and conditions of the three injured individuals were not immediately disclosed by rescue authorities.

The circumstances leading to the clash, however, remain unclear, and the local authorities have not yet confirmed the cause of the dispute.

The police have launched an investigation to determine what triggered the violence and whether any arrests will be made in connection with the incident.

The officials are collecting evidence and recording statements from witnesses and those involved to establish the sequence of events.

The incident has once again highlighted concerns over violent disputes in residential areas, prompting authorities to urge citizens to resolve conflicts peacefully and avoid taking the law into their own hands.

Rescue 1122 reiterated that its emergency teams responded promptly to the distress call, provided immediate medical assistance to the victims, and ensured their swift transportation to hospital.
