The Lahore Board has decided to provide free sports equipment to government Schools and colleges as part of efforts to promote sports in educational institutions.
For this purpose, the board has made a significant increase in the sports budget.
Under the imitiative, free sports equipment will be provided to 1,100 government high schools across the Lahore Division, while 20% of government colleges in the division will also benefit from the facility.
The Lahore Board has increased its sports budget from Rs10 million to Rs25 million. Officials said the increase aims to promote sports activities in government educational institutions and provide students with the necessary facilities.
A total of Rs61 million has been allocated to the Lahore Board’s Sports Department, under which further measures will be taken to promote sports in government schools and colleges.
