LAHORE – Smog will continue to increase as dry weather with atmospheric conditions are likely in Lahore and the plains of Punjab on Friday night and during the weekend.

Under these conditions, dry weather with stable atmospheric conditions is likely in Lahore and most districts of the province on Friday night and during the weekend. Cold weather is likely in Murree and Galiyat.
Smog will likely persist with increasing intensity in Lahore, Gujranwala, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Okara, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Khanewal, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, and Multan.
Experts have advised citizens to take precautionary measures to save themselves from smog-related hazards. Doctors have advised extra care for asthma patients, children, and elderly people.
Lahore’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 31°C and 33°C on Saturday and Sunday and between 30°C and 32°C on Monday.
Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed in Lahore and most districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Cold weather prevailed in Murree and Galyat. Smog persisted in Lahore and the plains of Punjab.
Sahiwal, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Bahawalpur remained the hottest places in Punjab, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 34°C. The maximum temperature in Multan, Faisalabad, and Sargodha was recorded at 33°C.
In Lahore, the maximum temperature was recorded at 32°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 42 per cent.
