More intermittent rain is predicted in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Friday evening and night.
Moderate to heavy snowfall is also expected in Murree and Galiyat during the period.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a strong westerly wave prevails over most upper parts of Pakistan, which will persist during the next 24 hours.
Under these conditions, mainly cold and cloudy weather is expected in the upper districts of the province on Friday evening and night. Rains and gusty winds are expected in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Gujrat, Gujranwala, and Mandi Bahauddin.
Heavy rain/hailstorm may also occur in the northeastern districts during the period. Snowfall is also likely in Murree and Galiyat.
On Saturday and Sunday, mainly cold and dry weather is expected in Lahore and most districts of Punjab. However, freezing and partly cloudy weather is likely in Murree and Galiyat.
Rain/snowfall may cause road closures/ slippery conditions in Murree and Galiyat. Tourists are advised to remain extra cautious and avoid unnecessary travel during the period.
Lahore’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 05°C and 07°C on Saturday and between 04°C and 06°C on Sunday.

Murree remained the coldest place in the province, where the temperature dropped 03°C below the freezing point. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 82 per cent.
In Lahore, the minimum temperature was recorded at 08°C. Relative humidity in the morning was recorded at 88 per cent.
