Lahore, Punjab weather: Mercury levels continue to decrease

LAHORE – Mainly dry weather is expected in Lahore and most districts of Punjab on Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday with a gradual decrease in the mercury levels.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. Under these conditions, mainly dry weather is expected in Lahore and most districts of Punjab on Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Cold weather is expected in Murree and Galiyat. Smog with shallow fog in patches may develop over a few plain areas of Punjab. Persistent dryness and clear sky will cause a gradual decrease in the mercury levels.

Lahore’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 11°C and 13°C on Tuesday and Wednesday and between 10°C and 12°C on Thursday.

Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed in Lahore and most districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. Cold weather prevailed in Murree, Galiyat and the upper districts. However, smog prevailed over a few plain areas of Punjab.

Murree remained the coldest place in Punjab, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 04°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 57 per cent.

In Lahore, the minimum temperature was recorded at 12°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 30 per cent.
