LAHORE – The Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMA) has clarified that there is no change in the ticketing system of the Orange Line Metro Train, dismissing any confusion regarding modifications to the service.
In a public clarification, the authority said the discontinuation of the old ticketing system applies only to Metrobus, Speedo, and Electric Bus (EV Bus) services, where the previous method has been replaced with the Tcash card and eTransit mobile application.
The PMA urged media outlets, journalists, digital platforms, and the general public to avoid sharing unverified information about the Orange Line Metro Train ticketing system.
The authority stated that any future updates regarding Orange Line Metro Train tickets will be announced exclusively through official PMA communication channels.
For Metrobus, Speedo, and EV Bus users, the new system enables passengers to use the Tcash card and eTransit App for travel-related services. The facility is aimed at modernising public transport operations and improving convenience for commuters.
The PMA has advised citizens to contact its helpline 1762 for guidance and further information. The authority also continues to provide updates through its official social media platforms.
