LAC focusing on performing arts for youth: Ather


Lahore Arts Council’s prime goal is to restore our colorful culture and spirit of performing arts by bringing them together; from, painting, music, dance vocalists and acting on one platform. LAC has decided to do all possible things for revival, promotion, and progress of performing arts.
The Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts is the only institution of its kind that technically prepares our youth according to the practical field requirements of arts especially in painting, drawing and sculpture at both complexes of Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts.
More than 500 students in total and around 100 students of painting and drawing and sculpture are attending classes at “Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts” where Alhamra’s teachers polish their God-gifted ability of painting, singing, dancing and different instruments.
Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts is proved truly productive as lots of people specially our youth took part in these classes and get groomed their personalities under the supervision of our highly professional teachers.
In this regard, Alhamra always arranged different events and shows, in which Students from Alhamra Performing Art Academy showcase their talent and amused the audience with their outstanding performances, including painting, vocals performances, music instruments dances and acting.
Lahore Arts Council Executive Director Ather Ali visited Alhamra Academy classes and said that the basic purpose of Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts was to promote cultural activities for youth. He enlightened that Alhamra because of its never ending efforts in the field of arts was now considered as one of the finest institution of culture in the country and we will keep on prospering.
He further said that there were almost twelve ongoing classes with more than 500 students who were getting training from Alhamra Academy of Performing Arts the classes’ included drama, acting, painting, music, dance, singing, guitar, sitar and tabla and all these classes were being conducted by highly professional teachers, he added.
