RAWALPINDI – Pakistan and Kuwait reaffirmed commitment to advance defence cooperation and strengthening military-to-military ties during high-level talks at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi, ISPR said Thursday.
Kuwait’s Defence Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Saleem Al-Sabah, led senior delegation to GHQ, where he met Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
Kuwaiti delegation included Lieutenant General Khalid Darj Saad Al-Shriaan, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kuwait. The meeting focused on key areas of mutual interest, regional security and the future direction of bilateral defence cooperation. Both sides discussed ways to strengthen institutional links and expand practical collaboration between the armed forces of the two countries.
Pakistan and Kuwait also reiterated their resolve to build a stronger and more sustainable defence partnership, building on their longstanding brotherly relations.
Kuwaiti delegation praised the professionalism and operational capabilities of the Pakistan Armed Forces, while recognising their contribution to peace and stability across the region.
The high-level meeting underscored the growing importance of Pakistan-Kuwait defence ties and reflected a shared commitment to closer military cooperation amid evolving regional security challenges.
Both countries expressed their determination to further consolidate their historic relationship into a robust and mutually beneficial partnership that can contribute to regional security and stability.
