Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, President of the Sindh People’s Party (PPP), commemorated the 45th death anniversary of ShaheedZulfiqar Ali Bhutto, the founder of the People’s Party, with heartfelt tribute on Thursday. Khuhro condemned the judicial execution of ShaheedZulfiqar Ali Bhutto, labeling it as a dark chapter in history.
He emphasized that Bhutto did not receive a fair trial, demanding the Federal government to officially recognize him as a national democratic hero and martyr. Highlighting Bhutto’s significant contribution in crafting a unanimous constitution for the nation, Khuhro lamented the tragic loss resulting from his judicial killing. Despite the attempt to silence the People’s Party by hanging Bhutto, Khuhro asserted the resilience of the party and the enduring voice of the people.
He reaffirmed the PPP’s commitment to upholding the supremacy of the constitution, law, and parliament in the country. In honor of Shaheed Bhutto’s memory, the PPP plans to organize prayer ceremonies at the district and taluka levels across Sindh, underscoring their enduring respect and admiration for the visionary leader.
