KARACHI – Heatwaves will likely prevail in Karachi, Hyderabad and most districts of Sindh on Eid-ul-Azha and the following two days.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, very hot and dry weather is expected in most districts of the province from Friday onward. Day temperatures will likely remain between 04°C to 06°C above normal levels in upper and central Sindh on Eid-ul-Azha and the following two days.
Karachi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 36°C and 38°C on Friday and between 37°C and 39°C on Saturday.
Hyderabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 41°C and 43°C on Friday and between 42°C and 44°C on Saturday.
Meanwhile, very hot and dry weather prevailed in Karachi, Hyderabad and most districts of Sindh during the last 24 hours.
Dadu remained the hottest place in Sindh, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 47°C. The maximum temperature in Nawabshah was recorded at 45°C.
In Karachi, the maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 56 per cent.
In Hyderabad, the maximum temperature was recorded at 41°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 43 per cent.
