Karachi receives drizzle, met office predict rainfall today

Several areas of city experienced a light drizzle on Thursday as a westerly wave influenced the region, bringing a refreshing change to the weather. The Met Office has issued a forecast for rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms in Karachi and other northern regions of Pakistan due to the same weather system. Areas including I.I.Chundrigar Road, University Road, Mosmiyat, Safoora, Nazimabad, Lasbela, and GolimarChowrangi in Karachi were treated to the gentle drizzle, enhancing the pleasant atmosphere.

In anticipation of heavy rains, Engineer Asadullah Khan, Chief Operating Officer of Karachi Water Sewerage Corporation (KWSC), swiftly deployed 55 suction machines along key highways across the city. Khan emphasized in a video statement that Karachi Mayor Barrister MurtazaWahab had declared a rain emergency, prompting the water corporation to finalize all necessary preparations to manage the anticipated rainfall.

The weather department has extended its forecast for rain accompanied by wind and thunderstorms to various districts of Sindh, including Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana, Dadu, QambarShahdadKot, Jamshoro, and Sanghar, until today.
